My role on the project

​

This project was carried out over 2 months by a team of 5 game designers at the start of my second year at Isart Digital. On this project I took care of different roles which I will describe to you here:

  • Game Design: 3C, Enemy Design

I designed the player's abilities, his way of moving, his attacks as well as two of the four enemies in the game (the Hammer Joe and Belzebot).

  • Level Design : Realized the Arena and the wave system

On this project, I was responsible for the design of the arena as well as the wave system which should manage all enemy confrontations.

  • Programmation: Enemy AI, Wave System, Combat mechanics

On the programming side, I took care of the behavior of two of the game's enemies, namely Hammer Joe and Belzebot. I designed their attacks and their behavior before integrating it into the engine. I also designed the wave system which detects remaining enemies before launching the next wave. Finally, I took care of programming the player's attacks.

  • Art: Mad Rill & Belzebot

Using Maya software, I modeled the enemies Mad Rill and Belzebot and ensured the possibility of making them explode into shards upon death.
